The head of the department Imangali Tasmagambetov has awarded the military members of the parade dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese people in the war of resistance against Japan and the 70th anniversary of victory in World War II in Kazakh Ministry of Defence in Astana today.

"I want to thank you on behalf of the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan, you have carried out obligations imposed on you with honor, and we are proud of you. All Kazakhstan has watched the parade and was proud of the Armed Forces of our country. Our participation in the parade is no coincidence, because China is our closest neighbor, the two countries have very friendly relationship, you have acquired a lot of experience," Kazakh Minister of Defense Imangali Tasmagambetov said.

Kazakhstan in this large-scale military parade was presented by the guard of honor of Kazakh Ministry of Defence. Eight most distinguished soldiers got medals "For contribution to the development of international cooperation" from the hands of the Minister of Defence.

"We were preparing for the parade in Beijing about a month in Astana, and about 10 days in China. It is a great pride for us to represent our country, our armed forces in a large-scale event to the world. We had to present our army, our drill training. I believe that we have shown a decent level before our Supreme Commander, before the Minister of Defence of our country, before the world leaders," the commander of the honor guard, captain of Kazakh Defence Ministry Maksat Bayzhigitov said.

The parade was attended by military personnel from 17 countries. Kazakh Armed Forces was represented by 76 soldiers.

"I was in the beginning, the left assistant in the part of colour group. Very hot weather created certain difficulties for training in Beijing, to train in Astana was much nicer. But despite this, the high evaluation of our Supreme Commander and the celebration of the guard of honor by our Defence Minister is a proof that we did it at an adequate level and showed the world our troops. Now we are returning to our direct official duties: to protect our country and improve our proficiency drill," the participant of the parade in Beijing, platoon leader of the honor guard, senior lieutenant of Kazakh Defence Ministry Yalkunzhan Chugarov said.

We shall recall that exemplary Kazakh army soldiers between the ages of 22 to 28 years were selected in the company of a guard of honor, for who to represent the country's armed forces is not for the first time.
