Askar Mamin opens new plant and presents state awards to residents of Akmola region

On the instructions of the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, on the eve of the celebration of the 30th anniversary of Independence, Prime Minister Askar Mamin made a working trip to Akmola region where he launched a new production and presented state awards to the residents of the region.

In his speech at the solemn event dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Askar Mamin noted that the Akmola region is one of the most important agro-industrial regions of the country. Over the years of Independence, the gross regional product has grown 12 times from $446 million to $5.4 billion.

On a national scale, the region produces almost 70% of grain harvesters, 43% of tractors, more than 47% of specialized vehicles, 100% of bearings, over 45% of mined gold ore, almost 27% of semi-finished gold.

The implementation of the Industrialization Map projects made it possible to organize the production of about 20 new previously unreleased types of products with high added value.

Akmola region plays an important role in ensuring food security of the country. The region ranks 5th in terms of the share of agriculture in the country. The region produces more than 25% of grain (5 million tons), 23.5% of poultry meat (80 thousand tons), 16% of eggs (800 million pieces) and 8% of meat (150 thousand tons). The cultivated area exceeds 5 million hectares; 8 poultry farms and 15 meat processing enterprises operate on the territory of the region.

The transport infrastructure is being actively modernized, kindergartens, schools, medical and sports facilities are being built. About 6.9 million sq. m of housing. Renewable energy facilities with a total capacity of 290 MW were commissioned.

Significant changes have also taken place in the field of tourism. Three state national natural parks were opened: Kokshetau (1996), Burabay (2000) and Buyratau (2011) with a total area of ​​about 240 thousand hectares. On the territory of the Shchuchinsk-Borovoe resort zone, tourism projects worth more than 15 billion tenge have been implemented. It is planned to implement projects for the development of the Burabay resort zone with a total investment of 100 billion tenge.

As part of the development of the region's potential until 2025, it is planned to implement about 340 significant investment projects totaling 2 trillion tenge in such promising sectors as the agro-industrial complex, energy, production of building materials, transport and logistics, etc.

In accordance with the Decree of the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Askar Mamin presented state awards to agricultural producers, workers of enterprises, health workers, sports, media and entrepreneurs of the Akmola region on the occasion of Independence Day.

Director of Arip-Agro LLP Ualikhan Aripov was awarded the Order of Parasat, the Founder of the Kazrost Group of Companies David Bezhuashvili was awarded the Order of Dostyk II degree, the Director of ENKI LLP Myrzabay Abdykalykov and the Director of Tuqym Agro LLP Igor Pugachev were awarded the Order of Qurmet, III degree Enbek Danqy order was presented to a mechanic for the repair of rolling stock of the automatic workshop of the Atbasar Electric Locomotive Repair Plant branch of Kamkor Lokomotiv LLP Saken Abdrakhmanov and the foreman of the technical control section of EPK Stepnogorsk JSC Tatyana Shcherbakova.

Oleg Balybin, Director General of Kazakhstan Agro-Innovation Corporation LLP, Ramil Bayazitov, Director General of JSC 811 Automobile Repair Plant KI, and Aizat Duysen, correspondent of KTK TV channel, were awarded the medal "Eren Enbegi Ushin".

The Shapagat medal was awarded to the director of the Akmola regional branch of Halyk Bank of Kazakhstan JSC Daulet Topin, the Certificate of Honor of the Republic of Kazakhstan — to the individual entrepreneur Bolat Abdrakhmanov, the jubilee medal “Kazakhstan Respubliki Tauelsizdigine 30 zhyl” — to the general director of Healthcare LLP, Agrofirm Sauer, Akmola region, Bolat Zhanadilov, master of sports of international class in boxing of the school of higher sports skills Temirtas Zhusupov.

During the working trip, the Head of Government took part in the opening ceremony of the II phase of the project for the production of ceramic bricks by ENKI LLP. The capacity of the enterprise is 30 million pieces of bricks per year. Taking into account the first phase of the project — a brick plant put into operation in 2010 — the total production capacity of bricks will be 90 million pieces per year, and the number of jobs — 400. The plant's products will be supplied to the domestic market of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as exported abroad.

The Prime Minister also got acquainted with the new hall Tauelsizdiktin 30 Zhyly in the Akmola Regional Museum of History and Local Lore, visited the Bolashaq Sarai Palace and the Kokshetau Palace of Culture.
