Askar Mamin chairs meeting of State Commission for Control over Construction of Nur-Sultan

Prime Minister Askar Mamin chaired a meeting of the State Commission for Control over the Construction of the New Center of Nur-Sultan.

Akim of the city Altay Kulginov reported on the implementation of the Comprehensive Plan for the Development of Nur-Sultan for 2019-2023, Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development Beibut Atamkulov spoke on construction of housing, development of engineering and road transport infrastructure, Minister of Energy Nurlan Nogayev told about gas supply to the city, Minister of Education and Science Askhat Aimagambetov spoke on the construction of schools, Minister of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources Magzum Mirzagaliyev told about water supply to the population, as well as other heads of central government bodies reported on their specialized areas of work.

This year, about 3 million square meters of housing will be commissioned in Nur-Sultan, including 8 thousand apartments of affordable housing. Work is underway to develop the engineering and communication infrastructure of residential areas.

As part of solving the problem of equity holders, the construction of 20 facilities will be completed this year (in 2019 - 10). In early December, the Garant residential complex with a 7-year history was commissioned. The remaining 22 problematic facilities are planned to be commissioned in the period from 2021 to 2023.

This year, 150 courtyards and 60 public spaces (760 thousand square meters) were landscaped in the capital, 106 thousand green spaces were planted.

CHPP-1 and CHPP-2 were partially converted to gas. The construction of a supply gas pipeline to the Koktal residential area was completed. In the Zheleznodorozhny residential area, 100% of distribution networks have been laid. A part of Agrogorodok, residential areas Koktal-1, Koktal-2 are at the final stage, work on gas supply to the residential areas Kuigenzhar, Michurino, International is underway. In general, about 300 km of gas pipelines have been laid in residential areas of the capital, more than 5 thousand houses are provided with access to the gas supply system.

Construction of 12 schools has been completed in the capital this year, which is 2 times more than last year. In 2021, it is planned to additionally build and commission 15 schools.

The meeting participants considered the systemic issues of further increasing the affordability of housing, the construction of social facilities, the development of transport and life support infrastructure, and the containment of prices for socially significant food products.

The prime minister stressed that all issues related to the short-term and long-term development of the city should be synchronized with the Comprehensive Plan for the Compact Development of the Capital for a five-year period.

“The first President of Kazakhstan - Elbasy Nursultan Abishevich Nazarbayev and Head of State Kassym-Jomart Kemelevich Tokayev pay special attention to the development of the capital. It is necessary to take all measures for high-quality and timely execution of the measures of the Comprehensive Plan for the Development of Nur-Sultan,” Mamin said.

The Head of Government focused on the need to intensify work to attract investments in the development of the capital, to ensure the planned volumes of construction of housing, socio-cultural and transport infrastructure, as well as to address the problems of water supply and improvement of the city.
