Saparbayev instructs to establish uniform payments to veterans for 75th anniversary of the Victory

In Ukimet Uyi, Deputy Prime Minister Berdibek Saparbayev chaired a meeting of the Interdepartmental Commission on organizing the preparation of the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

First Deputy Minister of Defense – Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces Murat Bektanov presented the draft Plan of relevant measures. In particular, in the anniversary year of the Victory it is planned:

  • To hold a military parade;
  • To carry out the exploratory work to identify unaccounted burial places and unburied remains of Kazakh soldiers who died during the Second World War;
  • To ensure the participation of veterans in events held in the territory of the CIS countries;
  • To providing social assistance to veterans;
  • To present anniversary medals;
  • To organize cultural events.

In total, the draft Plan provides for the implementation of 67 activities.

Berdibek Saparbayev noted the need to organize in each area the work of regional commissions in preparation for the celebration of the anniversary of the Victory.

In addition, the deputy prime minister instructed the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population to work with akimats and the Central Council of the RPO "Organization of Veterans of the Republic of Kazakhstan" to establish equal amounts of lump-sum payments to veterans and invalids of the Second World War on the 75th anniversary of the Victory.

“Honoring WWII veterans, home front workers, and Kazakhstani people who have fulfilled a historical mission and contributed to the victory over fascism is a national task. Our efforts must be directed towards ensuring their full support. Not a single veteran should be left without attention and care,” Saparbayev noted.

Summing up the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that all the events of the Victory anniversary should be aimed at ensuring socio-political stability in the country, consolidating society around the policies of the First President – Elbasy and the Head of State, and strengthening the sense of patriotism among the young generation.

Representatives of the ministries of defense, internal affairs, finance, labor and social protection of the population, the Central Council of the Organization of Veterans of the Republic of Kazakhstan and other interested state bodies, as well as deputy akims of the regions, the cities of Nur-Sultan, Almaty and Shymkent also took part in the meeting.
