Berdibek Saparbayev recommends teachers in West Kazakhstan region to pay attention to quality of professional education

In the course of a working trip to the West Kazakhstan region, Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Berdibek Saparbayev held a meeting with the pedagogical community, during which issues related to the development of the education sector were discussed.

The deputy prime minister told teachers about measures to implement the tasks set by the President in the Address, drew attention to the great work to support the education sector, protecting rights and raising the level of teachers' salaries.

“Fortunately, there are many gifted children in our country. This is our future. We must support them. The teachers have a huge responsibility, and if you treat your duties with all your heart, our children will reach great heights. A lot depends on you,” Saparbayev said.

He noted the weak interaction between teachers and parents, which should be corrected. In addition, more attention should be paid to the moral education of students, their employment and familiarization with work.

“We must train them in their work. Children should make the most of their free time. If children are involved in sports, art, attend various circles and sections, they will be healthy, well-educated, educated, and most importantly, they will not commit offenses. We have a lot of sports and cultural facilities. The government is working to make them accessible to children. It is necessary to massively involve youth in a healthy lifestyle. And parents should contribute to this. School directors and class teachers need to establish close ties with parents and conduct career-oriented work with children,” said the deputy prime minister.

He also spoke sharply about the inappropriate work of secondary specialized educational institutions of the country.

“Our colleges report statistics that their employment rate is 90% and higher. In fact, it is zero. We have introduced a requirement that the employment of each graduate is supported by a certificate of pension contributions, but even here we have found a loophole on how to get around this. They find a job for a month, when they receive deductions, they bring the paper, and that’s all. That is why we have a shortage of personnel everywhere. We have more vacancies than demand. This should not be happening,” said Berdibek Saparbayev.

He emphasized that special attention should be paid to the quality of professional education, the level of which must be increased in order to create demand for young specialists at companies.

During a working trip to the region, the deputy prime minister held meetings with the public, active youth, labor veterans, health care workers, and also visited a number of social facilities.
