Deputy Beibit Mamrayev: “Justifying corruption by low wages is a crime”

At a press conference in the Government, the deputy of the Majilis of the Parliament Beibit Mamrayev told the media how he believes the tasks set by the First President – Elbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev at an expanded meeting of the Political Council of the Nur Otan party on Aug. 21, 2011, should be implemented.

“Today on the agenda is the consolidation of the forces of the whole society in the fight against corruption. To be brief, we must deal with this problem throughout society and look for solutions. It is a crime to justify corruption by low wages,” the deputy of the Majilis expressed his position.

According to him, annually, when approving the budget, Parliament allocates huge funds to the education system. He hopes that these finances will be used more efficiently.

“It's not about quantity; it's about quality. Social policy is primarily based on the economy. The vast majority of Bolashak workers work in the real sector of the economy. They should feel themselves not just in the system of state administration, but in the system of creating spiritual, material values ​​of our society,” Beibit Mamrayev said at the briefing.

Recall, an expanded meeting of the political council of the Nur Otan party was held Aug. 21 in Nur-Sultan with the participation of the First President of Kazakhstan – Elbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev and Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. Three issues were put on the agenda of the meeting of the political council: on the progress in implementing the party’s election program and the implementation of decisions of congresses, on the main directions of the party reboot and on making changes to the composition of the bureau of the political council. During a keynote address entitled “Trust, dialogue, confidence in the future and corresponding impulses of the party,” the First President of Kazakhstan, Elbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev, raised the problem of corruption in higher education institutions of Kazakhstan.
