Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Askar Mamin inspects infrastructure construction in Turkistan

As part of his working trip, Prime Minister Askar Mamin inspected the progress of construction of facilities in Turkistan.

The prime minister got acquainted with the construction of the new international airport of Turkistan and the highway leading to it. The facility is located 16 km from the regional center and will be commissioned in September 2020. It is planned that the terminal capacity will be 3 million passengers per year.

Askar Mamin visited the construction sites of the Congress Hall, the Schoolchildren’s Palace, office buildings of the Akimat, a sports complex with a swimming pool, a 7,000-seat stadium, a drama theater, a regional science-universal library, a city park with attractions, the Uly Dala Eli Center and Khoja Ahmed Yassaui Museum, inspected the progress of the reconstruction of the buildings of the National Center for Artisans of the Great Silk Road and the Visit Center.

 

The prime minister got acquainted with the construction of the Rixos Turkistan and Hampton by Hilton hotels with 120 rooms each, as well as the multifunctional tourist complex Caravanserai being built by the Turkish company Sembol construction with an investment volume of 80 billion tenge. All these hotel and tourist facilities are planned to be commissioned this year.

“The first President – Elbasy Nursultan Abishevich Nazarbayev and the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Kemelevich Tokayev pay special attention to the development of Turkistan. This fall, it is planned to hold a summit of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-Speaking States here. In this regard, it is necessary to ensure timely and high-quality completion of the construction of all necessary facilities,” said Mamin.
