Prime Minister Askar Mamin chairs a meeting of Commission on Digitalization under the President of Kazakhstan

Prime Minister Askar Mamin chaired a meeting of the Commission under the President of Kazakhstan on the issues of digitalization.

The meeting reviewed the implementation of the Digital Kazakhstan state program, initiated by the First President – Elbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev, and the execution of instructions from Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to accelerate the digitization of the country's economy.

The ministers of industry and infrastructure development Roman Sklyar, agriculture Saparkhan Omarov, digital development, innovation and the aerospace industry Askar Zhumagaliyev, Vice Minister of Energy Asset Magauov.

About 200 digital projects and 12 model digital factories are being implemented in the mining and metallurgical complex and the manufacturing industry. In the agro-industrial complex, digital solutions are applied for the introduction of an electronic trading platform, a labeling system and product traceability in animal husbandry and crop production, the creation of digital farms, and the automation of public services. The information systems “Intellectual field,” “Digital mine,” oil metering, automation of management of the modes of the Unified Electric Power System are being introduced in the fuel and energy complex.

The digitalization in the economic sectors is expected to bring an annual productivity growth of over 2-10%, production growth at the fields of 3%, reduction in production costs by 10-20%, yield increase through the use of precision farming in the agro-industrial complex — by 25-50%.

Summing up the meeting, Askar Mamin noted the importance of the digital agenda and instructed to strengthen the work on the introduction of digital solutions in the industry.
