Working trip to Atyrau region: Tugzhanov holds emergency meeting on epidemiological situation in region

Today, on behalf of the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Deputy Prime Minister Yeraly Tugzhanov made a working trip to Atyrau region, where he held an emergency meeting on the epidemiological situation in the region.

The delegation, headed by Deputy Prime Minister, includes First Vice Minister of Healthcare Marat Shoranov, Vice Minister of Energy Asset Magauov, Lead Scientist of the Rissian Antibubonic Research Institute Irina Sharova, Deputy Head of the Office of Rospotrebnadzor in the Tula Region of the Russian Federation Zalimkhan Omariev.

The number of coronavirus cases in Atyrau region amounted to 7,150. The number of recovered is 4,693 people. Thirteen people have died.

In order to stabilize the epidemiological situation at the regional hospital, a quarantine hospital with 400 beds will be opened in the near future.

At the same time, hospitals are opened at all city polyclinics, where therapeutic measures for patients are carried out. A call center was opened where qualified doctors consult the people around the clock. Currently, there are 694 infectious, 895 provisional and 2,328 quarantine places in hospitals in the region.

To date, hospitals are equipped with 115 ventilators and 29 x-ray machines. There are four computer tomographs. At clinics 61 mobile groups were formed. They provide outpatient care at home asymptomatic and patients with a mild form of coronavirus infection.

The number of cases of pneumonia along with coronavirus in Atyrau is 1,307 people.

The problem of lack of drugs is being solved, the most necessary antibiotics and antipyretic drugs are delivered to city and district pharmacies.

Currently, 1,429 doctors are fighting the pandemic in Atyrau. However, the shortage of medical specialists is acute. Atyrau lacks 278 doctors. Negotiations are underway with Russia to resolve this problem, work is underway to attract young specialists to the region. In addition, 122 young specialists from Atyrau will be involved in the fight against coronavirus, who will increase their knowledge and undergo internships and residencies in other regions.

During the meeting, the need to strengthen the ongoing work in order to ensure strict compliance with quarantine requirements have been emphasized.
