Roman Sklyar inspects progress of restoration work in Turkistan region

During his working trip to the Turkistan region, Deputy Prime Minister Roman Sklyar monitored the progress of restoration of residential buildings and social facilities damaged as a result of flooding.

Roman Sklyar and the akim of Turkistan Region Umirzak Shukeyev got acquainted with the emergency response and held meetings with the people of the villages of Tolebi district, during which they talked about the measures taken by the authorities to restore the life of the affected settlements as soon as possible. The overflowed territories of the Maktaaral district were observed on a helicopter.

During the visit, the process of building a new microdistrict in the village of Myrzakent was inspected, where 70 hectares of land were allocated for the construction of individual residential buildings. Funds from the government reserve are provided for housing construction, engineering and infrastructure costs, reconstruction and restoration of water supply networks, and restoration of transport infrastructure.

Thirty-two contracting organizations are involved in the construction of the new microdistrict, construction work has begun in 313 houses. About 900 builders and 70 pieces of special equipment are carrying out construction and installation work at the construction site.

Roman Sklyar instructed not to slow down the pace of restoration of damaged houses, transport and engineering infrastructure, and pumping water from flooded areas.
