Ministry of Trade and Integration started formation of the Public Council

Today, the first meeting of the working group on the formation of the Public Council of the Ministry of Trade and Integration chaired by the Executive Secretary Zhanibek Nupirov was held at the ministry.

Opening the meeting, Nupirov drew attention to the importance of the Public Council as an advisory and consultative platform. “The opinion of members of the public in shaping the strategic programs of our ministry is very important for us,” said the executive secretary.

The powers of the Public Council include discussion of draft budget programs, strategic plans of the ministry and their implementation, participation in the development and discussion of draft legal acts, development of proposals for improving the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan and much more.

At the first meeting of the working group, members of the working group and observers, which included all comers who submitted applications to MIT, determined the number of members of the Public Council of the Ministry of Trade and Integration. As a result of the discussion, it was decided that 10 people should enter the Public Council of the department: 3 representatives of the state body and 7 representatives of non-profit organizations. The competition is held among representatives of non-profit organizations, citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan who have reached the age of eighteen.

A candidate for membership of the Public Council shall not:

1) have a criminal record;

2) not be found guilty of a corruption crime and (or) corruption offense in the manner prescribed by law;

3) be registered with health organizations regarding mental illness, alcoholism, drug addiction or substance abuse.

To participate in the competition, provide:

1) a written proposal of a non-profit organization and (or) a citizen's application for the nomination of a candidate for the Public Council;

2) information on the professional and (or) social activities of the candidate with an indication of autobiographical data.
