Minister of Agriculture Saparkhan Omarov reported on the situation. To date, 15.1 million hectares have been harvested from the total grain area of ​​15.2 million hectares, which is 99.2%. 19.1 million tons of grain were threshed with an average of 12.6 c / ha.

“This year, due to difficult weather conditions, we harvested 2 million tons less grain in bunker weight than last year. I instructed the Ministry of Agriculture to ensure timely procurement of grain by the Food Corporation to stabilize bread prices,” said Mamin.

The head of Government emphasized that, taking into account the climate in Kazakhstan, it is necessary to make every effort to preserve the harvest, to ensure that the enterprises receive grain in time for storage, as well as process and dry grain.

The prime minister instructed to ensure the needs of agricultural companies in seeds for the next year’s crop and to check their quality, take measures to address logistics issues as part of the preparation for the export of new grain, and also, taking into account the increased humidity of crops, consider allocating additional amount of diesel fuel to regions for drying grain and seeds in October – November 2019.
