Today, the First Deputy Prime Minister Askar Mamin visited several enterprises of the military-industrial complex in Astana.

During his visit to the LLP “Kazakhstan’s Aviation Industry” A. Mamin was reported on the activities of the enterprise, which specializes on manufacturing, assembly, repair, maintenance, and sale of aircraft such as the Airbus Military C-295, An 26, An72, and An 74. Here, production and output are established for unmanned military drones, there is maintenance and repair of Air Force equipment – SU25, SU27, SU30, assembly and service of light aircraft.

At the LLP “Eurocopter Kazakhstan Engineering”, the Chairman of the Board of JSC “NC” Kazakhstan Engineering” E. Idrissov reported to A. Mamin on the work of the enterprise, which specializes on manufacturing, assembly, repair, maintenance and sale of helicopters.  Currently, there are 26 helicopters assembled for the JSC “Kazaviaspas” and the Ministry of Defence. The manufacturing plant hosts an aviation training center, providing training to specialists from Kazakhstan, as well as all of Central Asia.

First Deputy Prime Minister Askar Mamin also visited the LLP “Kazakhstan Paramount Engineering”, where there is production of armored wheeled vehicles and modern armored personnel carriers. The enterprise aims to fully support the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan with advanced technology, localizing manufacturing and subsequent export to international markets.

The entire technological process is mastered; the engineering and technical staff is formed; a design department is formed, to fully meet customer needs.

Another military-industrial complex is the LLP “Kazakhstan Aselsan Engineering”. Here A. Mamin was informed on the implementation of the “Road Map” for increasing Kazakhstan’s Armed Forces defense potential, modernization and manufacturing of new technology and weapon prototypes.

Following the visit, A. Mamin instructed to pay special attention to further the growth of Kazakhstan-made military equipment export potential.

There is also a need for conducting activities relating to modernizing enterprises of the MIC, maximizing the load of MIC enterprises within the framework of the state defense order. Additionally, the First Deputy Prime Minister instructed to intensify development of the scientific-technical potential and create experimental design bureaus.
