Within the framework of his working visit to the Almaty region, Prime Minister B. Sagintayev visited the automated gas distribution station “Taldykorgan”, where he got acquainted with the station’s technological equipment and main gas pipeline automated management system, and heard a report on the gas infrastructure development of the region and the city of Taldykorgan.

Bakytzhan Sagintayev was reported on the completion of construction of the “Almaty-Taldykorgan” gas main pipeline (265 km long). This, along with the launch of the new gas distribution station, enabled a number of microdistricts of the city of Taldykorgan to be connected to centralized gas supply.

Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev visited one of the districts, houses in which were for the first time connected to gas supply and met with locals.

Construction of the “Almaty-Taldykorgan” gas main is one of the largest and socially important projects for the region. 21.4 billion tenge of budget funds was allocated for its implementation.

The Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan faces the task of bringing the level of gas infrastructure development of the regions to 56% by 2030. In this regard, comprehensive work is currently under way to achieve this goal.

In particular, in the Almaty region, the divisions of the National Operator JSC “KazTransGas” are constructing intracity gas supply networks of Taldykorgan city, amounting to 24.3 billion tenge, which is divided into 4 stages with a length of 1.4 thousand km and coverage of 170 thousand people.

In the II quarter of this year, at the expense of budgetary funds, it is planned to begin construction of a gas pipeline under the “Taldykorgan-Tekeli” project worth 1.5 billion tenge. This will provide gas to Tekeli city (35 thousand residents) and 9 settlements in the Eskeldinsky district, where 23.5 thousand people live.

2016 saw the start of construction of the “Bayserke-Kapshagay” gas main worth 4.4 billion tenge through private investments. Since 2015, the construction of intracity gas supply networks in Kapshagay is underway, in which 1.6 billion tenge was invested. All construction and installation work on the “Bayserke-Kapshagay” gas main, AGDS, and intracity gas supply networks in Kapshagay are planned to be completed and put into operation before October 15, 2017.
