During his working visit to Almaty region, Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev got acquainted with the work of the industrial zone "Taldykorgan", where new production facilities are to launch, and heard a report on the measures to ensure employment of residents of the region.

B. Sagintayev was reported on the current activities of the industrial zones “Taldykorgan”, “Bereke”, on the work of SEZ “Khorgos – Eastern Gate”, and on the course of construction of the new Nurkent city in the Panfilov district of the region and development of the satellite city Gate City.

It should be noted that currently on the territory of “Taldykorgan” industrial zone there are 11 operating enterprises, including factories and workshops for the production of metal products, insulating basalt slabs, asphalt, concrete and others. Also in the near future another 9 enterprises plan to place their production here.

In order to supply new production with qualified specialists, job fairs are held in the region on a regular basis. Prime Minister B. Sagintayev visited such a fair in the new park “Zhastar”, where about 100 enterprises offered more than 1500 jobs.

Bakytzhan Sagintayev was informed that due to regular fairs, since the beginning of this year more than 6000 people were employed. In particular, 2300 people are provided with permanent jobs, 1300 people are seasonal workers, 2700 people are covered by paid public jobs at the expense of local budgets.

To provide citizens with jobs, the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan is implementing a set of measures to develop the service economy, in addition, on behalf of the President of Kazakhstan N. Nazarbayev, the Productive Employment and Mass Entrepreneurship Development Program was adopted, as well as a program of free vocational education for unemployed youth.
