Two new bus stations will open in Astana to ensure uninterrupted transportation of passengers during the EXPO-2017 period, which will daily receive up to 400 buses from the regions of the country. This was reported by Deputy Minister of Investments and Development Roman Sklyar at a press conference at the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

According to preliminary calculations, more than 472 thousand people, or more than 5 thousand visitors a day, will arrive in Astana from regions on buses during EXPO-2017.

The bus station "Saparzhai Astana" will serve its current routes, so the routes familiar to residents and guests of the capital will remain unchanged.

Additionally created routes will be served by new bus stations. From June 1 this year, the “Alai” bus station will start operating, which will daily serve the additionally created routes from northern and western regions – Kokshetau , Petropavlovsk, Kostanay, Pavlodar, Taldykorgan, Uralsk, Aktobe, Ust-Kamenogorsk.

Another station, “Kenmart”, will receive 34 buses every day from the southern and central regions – Almaty, Shymkent, Taraz, Kyzylorda, Karaganda.

“At present, in order to ensure swift regulation of transport organization, the Transport Committee of the Ministry of Investments and Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan forms a list of buses indicating their state numbers, owners, capacity and year of manufacture,” – R. Sklyar said.
