Today at Ukimet Uyi Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev chaired a meeting on “Doing Business”.

Heads of relevant departments reported on the ongoing work to implement the adopted reforms to improve Kazakhstan’s position in the “Doing Business” rating in the framework of the following indicators: "Trading across Borders", "Dealing with Construction Permits", "Getting Electricity", "Paying Taxes", "Resolving Insolvency”, "Getting Credit", "Starting a Business", "Registering Property".

In the “Doing Business – 2017” rating, Kazakhstan rose from 41st place to 35th. On February 27, 2017, the fifth package of amendments was adopted to improve Kazakhstan's position in the "Doing Business" rating. In the period from May 1 to May 5, 2017, in the World Bank head office in Washington (USA), the Kazakhstani delegation presented reforms carried out by the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan to improve the country's position. In order to discuss Kazakhstan’s reforms with World Bank experts, 11 working meetings were held in the context of all indicators of the “Doing Business” rating.
