On the instruction of the Head of State, Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev arrived in South Kazakhstan region with a working trip, where he will inspect the implementation of objectives set in the Address “Third Modernization of Kazakhstan: Global Competitiveness", as well as the implementation of the AIC Development and Nurly Zhol State Programs, the Nurly Zher housing construction program and the Productive Employment and Mass Entrepreneurship Development Program.

Bakytzhan Sagintayev’s working trip to South Kazakhstan region began with the city of Turkestan, where he visited the Yassy-Nan bakery, which delivers its products to all the districts of the region.

During the inspection of the enterprise, the head of the Ak Zhol LLP management company Sabyr Atayev demonstrated to the Prime minister the production shops and told about the enterprise’s current activities and prospects for its modernization.

Ak Zhol LLP is producing baked and sausage goods. It produced goods worth 288 million tenge in 2016 and goods worth 839 million tenge already in the 8 months of 2017. The company is an example of the positive impact of the state’s support of SMEs and mass entrepreneurship.

Further, Bakytzhan Sagintayev visited a number of social infrastructure facilities in Turkestan, including the Khoja Akhmet Yassawi International Kazakh-Turkish University, where Rector Ualikhan Abdibekov presented the University's infrastructure to the Prime Minister and talked about the development of the university and the educational programs used there.

To date, more than 1000 teachers work in the IKTU and about 9000 students study about 105 specialties, including more than 700 foreigners. Here, a university campus was built, the expansion of which positively affected Turkestan itself.

The next place of visit was the Otyrar microdistrict, built in the framework of the Nurly Zher program. Akim of the city of Turkestan Alipbek Userbayev demonstrated to Bakytzhan Sagintayev the quality of housing in one of the constructed houses and presented an infrastructure plan of the city's potential development. In addition, the Akim informed the Prime Minister about the implementation of the Nurly Zher program.

In the second half of the day, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan will continue his working trip to the city of Shymkent, where he will hold a number of meetings and visit production and social facilities.
