During today’s Government meeting, Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev has heard the reports on the current situation on the POL and solid fuel markets and reminded the heads of state agencies and regions about their personal responsibility for the state of affairs in the entrusted departments.

Bakytzhan Sagintayev heard the reports of Minister of Energy Kanat Bozumbayev and Chairman of the Board of NC KazMunayGas JSC Sauat Mynbayev on the shortages on the fuel market, as well as reports of the Akim of Karaganda region Yerlan Koshanov and Akim of Astana Asset Issekeshev on the situation on the coal market, where queues can also be observed. The Prime Minister instructed Askar Mamin to keep the issue of coal supply under control.

B. Sagintayev drew the attention of all Ministers and Akims to the fact that they bear full personal responsibility for the state of affairs in the entrusted departments and regions. For this purpose, the leaders are given all necessary powers and opportunities. Bakytzhan Sagintayev has also emphasized that officials should not shift responsibility for their work to the population.

Based on the results of consideration of these issues, Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev took a number of disciplinary and personnel measures against the persons responsible for the situation on Kazakhstan’s domestic fuel market.
