In Kazakhstan, budget funds will be used to develop public-private partnerships (PPPs) and the private sector.

“Privatization will play a key role in the systemic economic policy. We expect high growth rates in agriculture – 5.7%. On PPP instruments: as you know, we used to spend a lot of money from the budget on building schools, social facilities, and so on. This will now be transferred to the private sector or to PPP,” – Minister of National Economy Timur Suleimenov said during the plenary session of the Majilis of the Parliament, presenting the bill “On Guaranteed Transfer from the National Fund of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2018-2020”.

According to him, the growth rate of the country's gross domestic product in the amount of 4.3% in January-September of this year gives reason to expect that it can be maintained in the future.

“In addition, a number of systemic initiatives – Third Modernization of Kazakhstan, Digital Kazakhstan, - will help create new incentives for the private sector of the economy,” – the Minister noted.
