During the meeting, the Head of State was briefed on the progress made in the implementation of the Digital Kazakhstan State Program and the measures taken to implement previously received instructions.

“Thanks to digitalization, Kazakhstan's economy should grow 30%, in monetary terms it will be more than two trillion tenge,” – the President of Kazakhstan said.

Nursultan Nazarbayev stressed the need for the domestic business to participate in the study of the execution of public contracts in the field of digitalization in order to preserve the accumulated experience and competence in Kazakhstan.

“The digitalization program is approved, the state allocates a lot of money for this, it is necessary to ensure its effective use,” – the Head of State said.

Askar Zhumagaliyev informed the President of Kazakhstan about the projected results of the Digital Kazakhstan program.

“Through the introduction of digitalization, the cost of production will decrease and production will grow in the mining industry. We also forecast about 200 thousand new jobs created in the field of e-commerce. According to our estimates, just through the digitization of customs and tax services, the state budget will receive more than 100 billion tenge," – the Deputy Prime Minister said.

In summation of the meeting, the Head of State heard a report on preparations for the international forum “Digital Agenda in the Era of Globalization” and gave a number of specific instructions.
