Today in Ukimet Uyi, Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev chaired a meeting of the Council on Investment Climate Improvement.

The meeting covered issues of attracting foreign investment in new green technologies, development of renewable energy sources, as well as the entire electric power sector in the context of a global transition to a low-carbon economy.

Participants provided information on practical aspects of the development of this field in the United States, Britain and Canada.

The meeting participants were addressed by Minister of Energy K. Bozumbayev, Minister of National Economy T. Suleimenov, Head of “Green Energy in Central Asia” A. Chukin, Ambassadors of the United States, Great Britain and Canada to Kazakhstan D. Krol, M. Gifford, N. Brousseau, Ambassador of the European Union to Kazakhstan T. Hristea, President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Kazakhstan K. Mack and others.
