A meeting between Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev and international expert in innovation development Gunter Pauli took place in Ukimet Uyi.

The meeting covered issues of the industrial and innovative development of Kazakhstan carried out through using global technological solutions and attracting domestic and foreign entrepreneurs to innovative business projects.

For reference: Gunter Pauli is the author of the book “The Blue Economy: 10 years, 100 innovations, 100 million jobs”, which shows how imitating natural processes can create new successful business models that will have economic, social and environmental benefits. It offers an alternative to conventional industrial processes, shifting the focus from the use of fossil resources to the application of simpler and more ecological technologies.

Basic principles of the "Blue Economy":

- Any resource can be replaced by another, if it is needed for production;

- There is no waste in nature;

- Any by-product is the source for a new product.
