Today in Ukimet Uyi, Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev chaired a meeting of the Coordinating Council for Interaction with International Financial Organizations (IFOs) and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD).

The meeting focused on the draft Action Plan for interaction with OECD, providing for the implementation of the Organization’s recommendation regarding the development of innovations, small and medium-sized businesses, investment policy improvement, and regional competitiveness development. The meeting participants also discussed the progress of the implementation of joint PPP projects with IFOs.

For reference: Since 2015, Kazakhstan and OECD have entered into a phase of active interaction within the framework of the signed Country Programme. The Country Programme envisages the accession of Kazakhstan to the 29 main legal instruments of the OECD. To date, Kazakhstan has acceded to 17 legal instruments, this year it is planned to join the remaining 12.

The OECD recommendations within the framework of the Reviews are included in the National Roadmap for the implementation of OECD recommendations (dated 07.09.2017).
