Today, within the framework of his working visit to Atyrau region, Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev visited the main building of Atyrau Music College named after D. Nurpeisov and got acquainted with the implementation of the Five Social Initiatives of the President on the example of the student dormitory under construction.

According to Deputy Akim of the region N. Sailauova, the region is actively working on achieving the set task. Bakytzhan Sagintayev was presented with a construction facility - a hostel for 100 beds, which will be put into operation in July this year.

In total, there are 25 colleges and 3 universities in Atyrau region. The number of students is 29 600. The region needs dormitories with 2300 beds.

It is worth noting that there are projects being designed for the construction of 8 dormitories for colleges for 960 beds. At present, the construction of two dorms with a capacity of 200 beds has been started and two more dormitories with 250 beds are at the stage of summarizing the competitive procedures. Completion of construction is scheduled for 2019.

The regional universities need dormitories with 850 beds in total. Completion of the development of design estimates for 560 beds is planned for the second half of this year, 200 beds – 2019. Work is being carried out to cover the existing needs within the framework of the public-private partnership mechanism.

Recall that in the third direction of the President's Five Social Initiatives, special attention is paid to the conditions of students' education and residence. Before the end of 2022, it is necessary to ensure the construction of new student hostels with no less than 75 000 beds.

Within the framework of the Roadmap for the implementation of five social initiatives, the construction of dormitories will begin in September 2018. Before 2022, a total of 160-200 dormitories are planned to be built in the country.

Starting from 2019, the National budget will provide funds for compensation of investment and operating costs of developers. The state will allocate funds in the form of 82 MCI (about 197 thousand tenge) for one bed.

The Government also initiated legislative changes: a bill has been drafted, which introduces changes and additions to the following normative legal acts: the Budget Code, the Business Code, the laws "On Education", "On State Property", "On Public Procurement", "On Rehabilitation and Bankruptcy" and others.
