A regular session of the Economic Expert Council took place today in Ukimet Uyi with the participation of Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev.

The discussion focused on issues of competitiveness development in the agricultural sector, as well as implementation of systemic measures to record and formalize employment of the population.

In particular, the session covered analysis and proposals of experts on the current state of affairs in the agricultural sector and further development of competitiveness by region, production of food, beverages and light industry.

With regard to the second issue of the agenda, the draft law "On Amendments and Additions to the Legislative Acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the Formalization of Employment of the Population" was discussed. The draft envisages the introduction of the Single Total Payment system for the purpose of legalizing the activities of informally employed persons.
