The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, following a fire safety audit, sent a submission to the court on the closure of 22 heavily trafficked leisure facilities. This was reported by Minister Kalmukhanbet Kassymov during the meeting with the population.

“Since 2011, to facilitate the work of the business and not to impede it, our civil protection services are excluded from the bodies that must coordinate projects with them in the construction of houses, buildings and their acceptance. We begin to control only after these buildings are put into operation,” –Kalmukhanbet Kassymov said, answering citizens' questions.

The Minister noted that in connection with the tragic events in Kemerovo, an inspection was carried out of heavily trafficked leisure facilities throughout the Republic.

“Together with the Prosecutor General's Office, we coordinated and inspected all heavily trafficked facilities, an area of ​​more than 1500 square meters, and all educational institutions. Of course, we found many violations. Among which: clutter of emergency entrances, trade trays were blocking evacuation paths. We made up over 15 thousand protocols on all the facts, and fined for the amount of 19 million tenge. We sent a submission to the court to close 22 facilities, because they do not meet the requirements,” – the Minister of Internal Affairs added.
