Today in Ukimet Uyi, Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bakytzhan Sagintayev met with members of the Board of the “Kazakhstan Foreign Investors Council” Association (KFICA).

The discussion covered issues of increasing the country’s investment attractiveness, improving the business climate and improving the tax policy. In particular, proposals of KFICA members regarding the liability of foreign investors for violations of tax legislation were considered.

The agenda was discussed by KFICA members: Chairman of the Board of the Council, Director, Head of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development for Kazakhstan A. Preimanis, Co-Chairman of the FIC Investment Policy Working Group, Managing Partner for Kazakhstan and Central Asia, EY, E. Dossymbekov, Executive Vice President of ENI in the Central Asian region L. Vignati, Director of the “ China National Petroleum Corporation” representative office in Astana L. Yonghong, Head of Tax and Legal Services of PwC Kazakhstan, M. Ahern, and Head of Government and External Relations at Shell Kazakhstan, Z. Bakenova.

Recall, the “Kazakhstan Foreign Investors Council” Association was established on the initiative of foreign members of the Foreign Investors Council under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan (FIC) as the official Secretariat and coordinator of the Council's activities on the part of the foreign side. KFICA provides constant organizational, coordination, information and technical support to foreign members of the Council. On behalf of its members, KFICA also works to establish partnerships with representatives of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, state structures, foreign companies, the diplomatic corps, business associations, etc.
