At today’s Government meeting, Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bakytzhan Sagintayev, after reviewing the implementation of the Roadmap for the formalization of self-employed, instructed to continue work on involving the informally employed population in the country's economy.

“In general, work is being done to update the status of citizens and to involve the identified unemployed and unproductively self-employed. This work needs to be continued and modernized. Our main task is to involve every citizen in the process of employment,” – the Prime Minister said, instructing the Akimats to step up work in this direction.

Bakytzhan Sagintayev noted that the presented new format for updating information on citizens through digitalization is correct and timely. In this connection, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population together with the Ministry of Information and Communication was instructed to continue work on ensuring the introduction of new digitalization channels.

In addition, the Labor Ministry needs to speed up work on the draft law on the formalization of employment.

Recall, within the framework of the implementation of the Roadmap for the formalization and involvement of informally employed people in the country's economy, the status of 1.385 million people has been updated in the state databases since the beginning of the year.
