About 100 million tenge have been allocated this year to hold film festival "Eurasia" in Almaty. It has been announced by Vice Minister of Culture and Sports of Kazakhstan Askar Buribayev at a briefing in CCS.

"Now I do not have the exact numbers with me. But I think around 100 million tenge was allocated to hold film festival "Eurasia" in Almaty," A. Buribayev said answering reporters' questions.

According to Vice Minister, holding 10th International Film Festival "Eurasia" in Almaty demonstrates the potential of the Kazakh cinema and possibility of cooperation with foreign counterparts in the modern film industry.

"The film festival is special this year. It is dedicated to an outstanding figure of our Kazakh cinema Shaken Aimanov. We are celebrating his 100th anniversary. "UNESCO" announced 2014 the year of Shaken Aimanov. And film festival "Eurasia" is held under the auspices of UNESCO, our new movies were demonstrated there. I think this is a very important event in the field of motion picture arts across the country and around the Eurasian region," he added.

Film festival "Eurasia" is being held under the auspices of celebrating Kazakh director Shaken Aimanov anniversary from 15 to 20 September in Almaty. There will be shown free movies "Dzhambul", "Our dear doctor," "Angel in the skullcap," "End of Ataman".

"Competition program of the festival includes 12 paintings from Japan, Iraq, South Korea, Israel, Estonia, Albania, Iceland, Russia, France, Croatia, Iran, Kazakhstan.

Season of Kazakhstani Culture is to open in France on September 20, Vice Minister of Culture and Sports Askar Buribayev said.

According to Buribayev, the opening ceremony will take place at the Palais des Congrès de Paris in the French capital. Performance by Astana Ballet troupe will be the highlight of the event. 

The best on-stage performance groups from Kazakhstan including the troupe of the Abai State Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet are set to tour France. The Days of Kazakhstani Cinema will also run at movie theaters across France as part of the season.

Vice Minister also reminded that the Days of Kazakshtani Culture had already been held in Indonesia and the USA.

Days of Culture of China, Austria and Ukraine will be held in Kazakhstan in autumn of the current year, this has been announced today by Vice Minister of Culture and Sports of Kazakhstan Askar Buribayev at a briefing in Central Communications Service.

"In September 26 - 28 Kazakhstan will host the Days of Culture of China. It is planned to carry out concerts in Almaty and Astana. The National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan will host a photo exhibition devoted to ecological culture of China, as well as art exhibitions of Chinese porcelain," A.Buribayev said. 

In addition, in October Kazakhstan will hold the Days of Culture of Austria. Days of Ukrainian culture will be carried out in Kazakhstan in the beginning of November.
