First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan

 

 

Askar Mamin graduated from the Tselinograd Engineering and Construction Institute, the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, faculties of civil engineering, economics.

He began his career as assembler at “Tselintyazhstroy” trust, and worked as the Deputy CEO of the union of innovative enterprises of Kazakhstan.

From 1996 to 2008 – First Deputy Akim of Astana city, Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications of Kazakhstan, First Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Kazakhstan, Minister of Transport and Communications of Kazakhstan, Akim of Astana city.

From April 2008 -President of “National Company «Kazakhstan Temir Zholy” JSC, since April .2008 -  elected as members of the Board of Directors of “NC “Kazakhstan Temir Zholy” JSC.

In September 2016 he was appointed First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Askar Mamin awarded medal “Eren Enbegi ushin”- 1998, “Kurmet" order - 2006, “Barys” order of the second degree - 2011, the Order of the Honourable Legion of the French Republic - 2013, the Order of first degree “For civil merits” of the Kingdom of Spain - 2014. He is a honourable citizen of Astana - 2011, the Honourable railroadman - 2012, the Honourable builder of Kazakhstan - 2013.
