Minister of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan



Born on April 5, 1978, T.Suleimenov graduated from Pavlodar State University (Economy and Management in Social Sphere and Branches, 2000; Jurisprudence, 2006, in absentia); Robert H. Smith School of Business, University of Maryland, USA, with a Master`s Degree in Business, Finance, 2002, Bolashak.

2002-2006, specialist, consultant, senior consultant, Tax Department of Ernst&Young Kazakhstan; 2006-2009, Department for Preparing Financial Statements, KazMunaiGas Exploration Production JSC, head of division, Director of Tax Accounting and Tax Planning Department; 2009-2010, Vice Minister of Economy and Budget Planning in charge of tax policy and revenue forecasting, policy in state property management, developing business and international relations; 2009-2012, World Bank Deputy Country Manager for Kazakhstan and EBRD Deputy Country Manager for Kazakhstan; 2012-2016, Member of the Board (Minister) in charge of Economy and Financial Policy, Eurasian Economic Commission. In this role, he was responsible for implementing the EEC functions in such areas as conditions for business and investments, financial markets, monetary policy, banking, securities market, insurance, enrollment and distribution of import customs duties, protection and enforcement of intellectual activities, labor migration, and tax policy.

Awards: “Yeren Enbegi Ushin”, Medal of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council “For the contribution to the creation of the Eurasian Economic Union” I degree, Order of V.Vernadsky, public and departmental awards of Kazakhstan, Russia and Kyrgyzstan.

December 28, 2016, by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan T.Suleimenov was appointed Minister of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
