Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development

Kairbek Uskenbaev was born in 1964. He graduated from the Karaganda Higher School of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the USSR, Akmola Agrarian University, Diplomatic Academy of Gumilyov Eurasian National University.

He began his career in 1982 in the internal affairs bodies.

In 1991-1993, he was Head of the Department of Communal Property of the Akmola City Administration.

In 1994-1999, he was Director of the Bureau for Privatization of the Akmola Committee for State Property; Deputy Chair of the Akmola Committee for State Property Management; Chair of the Territorial Committee of State Property and Privatization in Astana.

In 1999-2004, he was Director of the State Communal Enterprise "Communal Property Fund of Astana".

Over the years, he has been the Chair of the Committee for the Regulation of Trade and Tourism Activities of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Vice Minister of Tourism and Sports, First Vice Minister of Regional Development, Vice Minister of National Economy, Managing Director of Baiterek National Managing Holding JSC.

Since January 2018, he was Vice Minister, since March 2019 — First Vice Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In January 2022 he was appointed the Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
