Yerlan Aukenov appointed vice minister of labor and social protection of the population of the Republic of Kazakhstan

By a decree of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Yerlan Aukenov was appointed vice minister of labor and social protection of the population of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Svetlana Zhakupova, who occupied this position previously, was dismissed at her own request according to the submitted application.

Yerlan Aukenov was born Sep. 5, 1984, in Almaty. She graduated from Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Bradford University (under the Bolashak program), International Academy of Business, London School of Economics and Political Science.

Over the years, he worked at the Ministry of Education and Science, Youth Center Leader of the XXI Century, Congress of Youth of Kazakhstan, JSC Samgau National Scientific and Technological Holding.

In 2010-2011, he was deputy chief of Staff of the Akim of East Kazakhstan Region.

In 2011-2014, he was the state inspector of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In 2014-2015, he was deputy akim of the North Kazakhstan region.

In 2015-2019, he was deputy akim of Almaty, oversaw the issues of social welfare.
