Today, during the Government session, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bakytzhan Sagintayev gave a number of instructions on the further introduction of Compulsory Social Health Insurance in Kazakhstan

Within the framework of the meeting, the Minister of Healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan Y. Birtanov, the Chairman of the Board of the non-commercial joint-stock company "Social Health Insurance Fund" E. Bakhmutova, the akims of Mangistau region Y. Tugzhanov, the Akmola region M. Murzalin and the first deputy akim of Atyrau region S. Lukpanov gave reports on the issue of CSHI introduction.

Bakytzhan Sagintayev instructed the Ministries of Healthcare, Information and Communications, together with akims of regions, Astana and Almaty cities, to intensify information and explanatory work among employers, entrepreneurs and self-employed citizens. In addition, together with the State Revenue Committee, conduct weekly monitoring of the payment of deductibles and contributions by employers and individual entrepreneurs.

Also, the Prime Minister instructed to pay close attention to citizens whose incomes are low or absent. These include workers in the informal sector, unregistered unemployed people, and persons without status.

In order to ensure that these citizens are not excluded from the system of Compulsory Social Health Insurance, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population together with the akims of the regions, Astana and Almaty cities are instructed to work out:

• The mechanism of identification of such persons with their data (IIN, address, telephone, etc.);
• Measures to ensure their employment in order to cover their system of Compulsory Social Health Insurance.

The Ministry of Healthcare was also instructed, taking into account the recent amendments to the Law on Mandatory Medical Insurance, to speed up the development of normative legal acts of Compulsory Social Health Insurance by the end of August this year.
