At the government session chaired by Prime Minister Askar Mamin, the sanitary and epidemiological situation in the country was considered.

Minister of Healthcare Alexey Tsoy reported that the sanitary and epidemiological situation continues to remain stable. The reproductive index of the virus is 0.90. The workload of infectious beds is 30%, resuscitation beds — 26%.

The cities of Shymkent, Aktobe, Atyrau, Almaty, West Kazakhstan, Turkistan, Zhambyl, Kyzylorda, Mangystau and East Kazakhstan regions are in the green zone in terms of the spread of coronavirus infection, and the cities of Nur-Sultan and Almaty, Akmola and Karaganda regions are in the yellow zone. Kostanay, Pavlodar and North Kazakhstan regions remain in the red zone.

To date, almost 8.5 million people have been vaccinated with the first component, over 7.7 million people — with the second component.

Taking into account the increase in the incidence in a number of European countries, as well as the states bordering on Kazakhstan, the Head of Government instructed to ensure widespread compliance with sanitary requirements, strengthen the effectiveness of monitoring groups to control their compliance and take tough measures against violators.

“From Nov. 22, revaccination for previously vaccinated citizens begins. In this regard, it is necessary to ensure the readiness of vaccination centers, medical organizations and medical workers,” Mamin said.
