Yeraly Tugzhanov gets acquainted with readiness of Aktobe and West Kazakhstan regions for possible wave of coronavirus

Deputy Prime Minister Yeraly Tugzhanov paid a working visit to the Aktobe and West Kazakhstan regions.

The deputy prime minister held meetings on the epidemiological situation and preparations for a possible wave of coronavirus, having heard a report from the regional authorities on the work done.

In the Aktobe region, the deputy prime minister got acquainted with the work of the provisional hospital on the basis of the Aktobe medical center.

Then the deputy prime minister inspected the construction progress of a 190-bed perinatal center, which is planned to be commissioned in the first quarter of 2021.

At the pharmaceutical plant LLP TK Pharm Aktobe, Yeraly Tugzhanov got acquainted with the production process of medicines. The plant's capacity is 6 million tablets and capsules, 75 tons of liquid dosage forms and 12 tons of extract per year. During the pandemic, the company launched production of antiseptics and medical masks.

The only manufacturer of digital stationary and mobile X-ray machines in Kazakhstan is Aktobrentgen JSC. Yeraly Tugzhanov was introduced to the work of the largest enterprise that, since the beginning of the pandemic, has produced 48 digital X-ray machines for medical institutions in the country.

Further, in the West Kazakhstan region, the deputy prime minister inspected the work of a multidisciplinary hospital for the planned hospitalization of the city of Uralsk. At a meeting with medical workers, Tugzhanov solemnly granted the keys to 20 cars of the regional ambulance station.

The next place visited was the construction site of the regional infectious diseases hospital for 200 beds, which is planned to be commissioned in November 2020.

The delegation also visited a pharmacy of Talap JSC, a distributor of more than 7 thousand types of medicines and medical products. Tugzhanov emphasized the importance of drug provision for the population and healthcare facilities.

Continuing his working trip, Yeraly Tugzhanov checked the work of the Syrym checkpoint in order to inspect sanitary measures aimed at preventing the spread of COVID-19.

At the end of the visit, the head of the region informed the deputy prime minister about the results of the implementation of the Employment Roadmap for 2020-2021.
