The main events of the week from March 30 to April 4, 2020

• On Monday, the prime minister chaired a selector meeting of the State Commission on Ensuring the State of Emergency under the President of Kazakhstan. The State Commission approved the decision to establish a monthly fixed salary supplement for medical workers involved in anti-epidemic measures.
• On Thursday, April 2, at the online government session, the adjusted forecast of the country's socio-economic development for 2020-2024 and the republican budget for 2020, as well as an additional package of anti-crisis measures in the framework of the implementation of the President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s instructions dated March 31, were considered. Askar Mamin emphasized that the priority task in the current situation in the country is to ensure employment.
• On Friday, at the meeting of the State Commission, a decision was made to extend until April 13, 2020, the non-working regime operating in Nur-Sultan and Almaty for all enterprises and organizations, with the exception of those whose activities are related to the livelihoods of two megacities and the health of the population. The State Commission also agreed with the proposal of the akim of Shymkent to introduce quarantine in the city from 9 p.m. April 4, 2020.
